The Liberation Period found everyone as busy as a bee helping in the rehabilitation of the school and its facilities. The years 1953 to 1956 were eventful, hence referred to as the “Era of Constructions and Improvements”. Aside from the expansion of the land area, new buildings started to lot the school campus such as the Vocational Building, the Machine Shed, the Granary and the Farm Shop. With financial material dole-outs from such Foreign Operations Administration, the Philippine Council for United States Aid, International Cooperation Administration, National Economic Council, and Mutual Security Agency, farm machinery equipment, farm shop tools, laboratory facilities, books and teaching aids and device were modernized and updated, if not augmented. Subsequently, the SEPNAS Administration Building, the Lunch Center, and the Cooperative Store were constructed while the Practice House, the Farm Shop and other building are repainted.

In 1956, the school was selected as one of the regional community centers to help implement the expansion of the community development program as envisioned by the late President Ramon Magsaysay. The San Carlos Rural High School was also chosen as one of the training centers for off-campus teachers from the UP College of Agriculture and later on the Central Luzon State University and the Mountain State Agricultural College.

In 1964, the name of the school was change from “San Carlos Rural High School” to “Speaker Eugenio Perez National Agricultural School” by virtue of a bill sponsored by then Congressman Angel B. Fernandez of the 2nd District of Pangasinan and signed into the law as Republic Act No. 3882 by then President Diosdado P. Macapagal. » read more
